LAND
In 'LAND FILLED WITH HOLES' Dafni Krazoudi choreographs a negative portrait of a living land. Within an auto-topography mapped out by unclear forces and vibrations, a raw vitality is pulsating beneath the surface. Unease rises in the face of the sublime as tectonic plates shift.
In an arcane state between curiosity and ruin, the symbolic act of digging a hole echoes the mythic serpent eternally consuming itself only to be born anew. The circular Ouroboros affirms the poetics of transformation as a relay where there is no Soul but the Soul, as the archetypal principle of wholeness within the individual.
Krazoudi suspends her own body above an earthy obscurity as an inheritor of the abyss. In a familiar dance of a strange reality, she seeks ephemeral release from the ultimate incomprehensible, the ultimate Other, when the eyes are still and the flesh is cold.
Succumbing to unbridled intuition and deeper impulses, she excavates without hesitation to meet with the force of Eros in action.
In the words of Voltaire, "It is no more surprising to be born twice than once - everything in nature is resurrection.
